Rio Grande Train 138 leaves the more open land at Azure and enters a narrow shelf as it dives into the narrow confines of Gore Canyon, Colorado.

After waiting in the siding at Azure for the westbound California Zephyr, Rio Grande Train 138 starts moving eastward toward Denver.
